Garrick Rice has 16 years of private equity experience. Before co-founding RiverGlade Capital, Garrick was a Managing Director at Sterling Partners. Garrick co-led the firm’s healthcare services investing practice, and led platform investments within workers’ compensation care management, interpretation services for hospitals, outpatient physical therapy, dermatology management services, and ophthalmology/optometry management services. Additionally, Garrick managed numerous diligence and transaction execution efforts, including corporate carve outs, debt financing and refinancing transactions, portfolio company sales to both private equity and strategic buyers, add-on acquisitions, and restructurings.
Previously, Garrick was the Director of Business Development for FOB.com, an internet start-up that developed an online vertical purchasing hub connecting chemical and paper industrial companies with key raw material suppliers. Prior to FOB.com, Garrick was an Investment Banking Associate at Robert W. Baird primarily focused on M&A execution assignments within business and industrial services. Prior to obtaining his MBA, Garrick joined the founding team of Einstein Bros. Bagels supporting the CEO and CFO in corporate and operations finance as the company went from an early stage business through its IPO and initial growth phase. Garrick began his career within the leverage lending group at Bank of America in Chicago, working closely with service-based, family-owned growth businesses.
Garrick is a Board of Trustees Member of the Hadley Institute for the Blind and Visually Impaired. He holds a BBA in Finance from the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management.
Garrick resides outside of Chicago with his wife and two children.
